Down here in the sunny South of Florida, we should put our bikes away for the season...
It's called tourist season...
We need to put them away for our own safety and protection...
Those tourists are insane!

Doc...that's 4 months of tinkering. No wonder that ride looks so damn good.

Re:riding season 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
Here in Eastern Ontario normally we have mild winters, 2 years ago some were riding & playing golf on Jan01. Last year was like a 1950's winter and we broke all the records for everything. Summer sucked = RAIN every other day--literally!

Today it felt like it was going to snow---Oct 03!!!

I really do believe that this global warming is bogus. We have had nothing but bad weather since it was invented.

I bought her to enjoy the ride, not just to ride her so I will probably tuck her away this month unless the warming actually kicks in.

Here in Tennessee, I don't know. Late summer and early autumn is very dry, so I've been riding everyday, back and forth to work. Yesterday morning was 42F and I froze my kishkas off, but with chaps, a full face helmet with a balaclava, and gloves, I think I'll probably be able to ride all winter. Hopefully...

January and February can get bitterly cold, sometimes. We'll see...

Re:riding season 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
I run through early december here in southern maryland. Then, if we get some warm days during the winter (40-50) I pull her out and just ride around and enjoy the day. Momma got me an electric liner last Christmas, so its not too bad...i just plug it in, and crank the dial to a comfortable setting. I run early to work (0400) so sometimes its a bit chilly 45-50 but it warms up nicely during the day.
I new one guy where i worked that had a goldwing, and he bought a side car so he could ride year round without worrying to much about the ice and dustings of snow.

I didn't realize there was a riding season. I guess that's one of the perks of living in southern California

I don't ride to work in the crap weather, nothing worse than bad Seattle drivers, in bad Seattle traffic,in bad Seattle weather. I just assume sleep at the office when it snows! That's a good way to get yourself killed! but I am going to get the cold/wet weather gear out and do some weekend riding.
