Man does she handle....... 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
Was out riding this evening and at 12:43 A.M. , on a dark stretch of road out here by the house , a Raccoon waltzed right out in front of me! I saw a dark spot on the yellow lines , and I ride in the left hand part of the lane , so before I could say she (he , it ??) was right in front of me. These 'Liners handle like a dream. Whipped the old girl over about 4 feet in 2 seconds , and she never flinched. Love riding this machine.

I love riding at night , but there is a lot still going on in the nocturnal world , so , if you're like me , keep an eye out for 'em. BTW , got the leather jacket out tonight , high 40's/low 50's at 50 mph is a little chilly. BB

BB, you're right on! I like to play while I ride sometimes. I scoot around bumps, potholes and manholes . The worst are the hiway joints covered with heaving blacktop...what a back-breaking bump if you're not ready!

I read somewhere that if you push on the handlebar the bike leans and turns and I don't know what the *maneuver* is called. Anyhow, I tried it and it works like a charm. I practice on the way home from work so it can become second nature when *avoidance* is needed.

I especially don't want to meet any deer suddenly!

It's called counter-steering there Rayjay. IMO if you ride and don't know how to do it you are asking for trouble.

BB, was that rascal small enough to eat in one sitting? That's the standard our MSF instructor gave us for when a critter jumps out in front of you: If you can eat it in one sitting, run over it. If not, try to avoid it! Seemed like good advice to me, but sounds like with your bike that rule is out the window!

Glad it wasn't something bigger.

I got to test ride a liner a few months ago, I try not to think about it.
Just keep stuffing the piggy bank.
BB, Sorry to here about needing a jacket down there, you poor thing.
I road to work in the dark the other morning, but by the time I get to work there is enough light to see the frost on the grass
