I've made my mind up, I'm not going! If the weather is nice that weekend I may make a mountain ride in Tennessee!

Most of those ordanances don't go into effect until December, but what they are saying is the noise ordanance will be $750.00, Bike impounded and have to have a Truck or Trailer to Haul it out of town. Mandatory Helmet inside the city even thou South Carolina isn't a Helmet Law State. The problem as I hear it has to do with a Few People during one of the Bike Weeks showing out. The businesses want the Bikes it's the Town Government thats trying to do away with it.

5 years ago , a friend of my boss got 3 tickets there at bike week. All for loud pipes. Don't know him personally , so I can't speak for his character , what I can speak for is this.....I'll spend my money where I'm wanted. BB

Re:Myrtle Beach Ordinances 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I'm just waiting to see how long it takes for the business folks in Myrtle Beach to put together a movement to vote these folks out of office. Even money says they don't have the testicular enhancement to do it, but if they do getting bikers back there after they've been shown the door will be difficult.

I feel badly for all the $$ that will be lost in that community, but the average Joe and Judy on the street put the city government in office, so they get what they deserve. When they are faced with 1-cut in city services, 2-higher taxes to maintain the service level or 3-BOTH perhaps they'll want those loud, dirty, fun-loving bikers back.

They'll learn why when the baby poops in the bathwater it's not good to throw out the baby with the bathwater, just get rid of the poop.

My guess is the city is trying to change it's persona to something more like Destin or Seagrove..They want to get a "higher class" of folks coming there.. will it work? who knows..

BTW Roadstarb, if your comin to TN, give a hollar, It would be nice to ride along with ya for a spell........

I don't go where I'm not wanted. Too many great places to ride without the hassles.
