Riders down 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Guys,

Some friend of mine were in East Texas yesterday morning on their way to a little arts festival. There were 4 bikes. James Stewart, a long time friend was in the lead with his wife Gwen on the back. A small car went off the road and over corrected, came across the road right in front of James. He had no time to respond and hit the car dong about 55 mph. He and Gwen were both lost. The driver was pulled from the burning car and air lifted out.

The second bike was driven by another couple, Billy and Mickie, they are hospitalized in Tyler with broken bones and road rash, but will be OK. The third was able to get slowed down and laid his bike over, but was able to ride home. The fourth just had to witness the horror.

James and Gwen were great people with kids and grand kids. Please remember their family and friends and keep Billy and Mickie in your thoughts.

It is hard to imagine, but you never know what today brings. Be careful out there everyone and Thanks for all your prayers.

It just goes to show you never know whats going or can happen. A few years ago about 30 of us where going down a 2 line highway to a memorial at a air force base when a car coming from the opposite stopped to make a left hand turn and made the mistake that I still see a lot he turned his wheels, half way thew the pack another car was approaching from his rear not seeing that the car in front of him was stopped he knocked the car with the wheels turned right into the middle of the pack of bikes.

My friends never get to comfortable when riding I don't not even on a empty country road it still beats the truck but you never know whats going to happen

My heart is heavy with this news. We ride to be free but once in awhile we are called to pay the price. My prayers go out for everyone involed and to there families as well. It kills me to read things like this.

Sorry to be reading this post
