Minnesota just passed the same law. A license plate light has always been the law.

I guess if you can make an arguement for sideways plates some one would also say that they can read upside down as well.

Went to Biketoberfest as well, I heard $1,100. for a vertical tag; also heard $1,100. for 1st. offense of lifting the front tire off the ground. Didn't see too many idiots; but I've never figured out the cars or no cars on Main st. and why do some people insist on bringing their kids much less babies in strollers?

Looking forward to Daytona in March...

A line from the movie Dark Blue: "A cop is the last person a civilian wants to see until some (dirt)bag shoves a gun in their face and then, we can't get there fast enough right"

Good flick

I find it hard to believe, that if my bike will pass inspection in the state of PA and I ride into "where ever land" that I can be ticketed. I am legal in PA and titled in PA.

Just because the law is different in another state, I am not registered in that state and shouldn't be subject to their laws of inspection.

I think you could fight that, but it would probably cost you more in lawyer fees than the ticket would be.

Some how that seems wrong, how can you be legal in all 50 states unless you leave the bike stock as a rock?

The economy and gas being what they are you can expect alot more hassles. They have to make up for less taxes coming in and higher gas prices because Joe taxpayer does not want to hear about tax increases, and then there is the stance of if you do not like a law write the official that can change it or get involved with group to get rid of it....Me??....I B**** moan and groan pay the fine and go on cause useually I have broken it before and the laws of probability dictate it is my time to pay for it life is too short to sweat the small stuff...Coug

I just talked to a friend of mine who is a sargent for the Sebring Police. He said that the new law about license plates being horizontal applies to Florida registered vehicals in Florida.
