That looks incredible. Its a fine tuners dream come true.

That's what I was thinking too..very simple to adjust all the circuits..I think Randysgym has one, but I don't know if he has installed it yet...

Only saying if because I am also looking into S&S and Weber options too. I really like the Weber but it is going to require a lot of mods to work with the Road Star, and the S&S needs manifold adaption. So the 42mm is going to be the easiest route.

i fitted a weber to an electra glide last week. VERY nice carb, far superior than the keihin, a bit of a bitch to fit and sticks out a bit, but lovely smooth power delivery. better than the S&S, which iŽve found to be a bit lacking at the bottom end and bottom midrange. they can be a bit juicy though.

the webers are being made 200mtrs from my shop

i spoke to the rep last week about the possibility of a roadie adaption, and he said heŽd get back to me, so iŽll keep bugging him as much as i can and see if i can blag a freebie to fit on mine for testing.

I've spoken to the US folks, but as you can imagine they are not much help for this project. I really like the tunability of the webers. Thinking of the 48 DCO SP, and running each barrel back to an individual cylinder. I can't get any reasonable information on the new motorcycle carbs at all. I would really like to see a shematic for one but the us site does not list them at all.

Do you remember which carb it was?

Like Gram said....
I have a flat slide and love it. however, the hsr has no accomodations for the tps unless you mod it somehow..I use a voes instead...but I've heard thru the grapevine that a member is currently writing up a tech article that will address this...I'm anxiously waiting..

Here is a link to a couple of different way to modify the HSR to accomodate the TPS.

Gram, Thanks for all the info., I've come close to purchasing that carb. a couple of times but $400. is alot of $ and it seems to go elsewhere. Didn't know about the 40mm/yamaha connection. My 40mm w/ it's 2.5mm float valve is working great, so putting a 2.5 in a 42 does sound the easiest route. During my research I just looked at the super E's&G's they seemed incrediably simple and very user friendly. The aftermarket world does revolve around Harley doesn't it.

it was a single barrel 45

normally i donŽt reccommend more than a 42 on a bike below 1800cc due to the lack of vacuum in the venturi at lower revs making the power delivery a bit poor, but as the weber has the atomiser in the middle of the venturi, the 45 worked perfectly on the 1340 glide.

hereŽs a couple of bits of info....

http://www.webcon.co.uk/weber/perf_operation.htm

http://www.teglerizer.com/dcoe/weber_service_manual.pdf

it may be worth getting in touch with david `bulldogŽ tice who used to do tech advice in the barons websit. he runs a DCOE on the beast.

if i get some more info in webers for roadies, iŽll post it up
