Put rhe pipes on and tighten down the bolts. Ride it for a day and then re-tighten the bolts. Do this a couple times. I don't use a torque wrench. I tried reusing and wound up have to take the pipes off and install new gaskets to get the severe backfiring to stop. It was real flame thrower As Musky said tighten them up and recheck after they have been heated and cooled.
