new pipes 2 Months, 1 Week ago  
Good morning... I have a 2007 road star and just bought a set of vance and hines powershot pipes. I was wondering do I have to touque the bolts when I install them and can I reuse the gaskets or should I buy more? thanks

You can most likely get away with reusing the gaskets. Put rhe pipes on and tighten down the bolts. Ride it for a day and then re-tighten the bolts. Do this a couple times. I don't use a torque wrench. I just tighten them down.

You can try to reuse the gaskets, my experience would say replace them. I tried reusing and wound up have to take the pipes off and install new gaskets to get the severe backfiring to stop. It was real flame thrower As Musky said tighten them up and recheck after they have been heated and cooled. Tighten them when they are cold.
