I usually surf the clinic for tech items and to see what other people are doing/adding to their bikes but this one has become special to me as of late so I thought I would comment.

I am a member of the CMA in West TN and we have attended several events along with the local BACA chapter and have developed a great relationship with them. I can't tell you the impact of the testimonies we have heard from some of what they have done and are doing for kids in our area. They have earned my respect and support quickly.

These guys literally stand the gap between victims and abusers (all the way to the courtroom if need be) insuring safety both physically and mentally in most cases. If there cause strikes a chord with you no matter your background or experience I hope you will all consider supporting them.

Yep. The more I find out about them, the more impressed I am. I truly can't think of a more worthy cause. When I was a medic and working in an Army emergency room, abused kids would be brought in for care. I felt helpless... The most I could really do in that situation, was to treat the physical injuries and then phone Family Advocacy. What I really wanted to do was go outside and throttle the bastards who had hurt that child... Now I'm older, more mature, and I've laid my own demons to rest. Instead of hot anger, I simply have compassion and a certain cold resolve and tenacity.
