Sweet ride, this morning... 2 Months, 1 Week ago
By 10:00, this morning, it was already 70F. Cerulean blue sky, leaves all orange and red and yellow... I rode twenty miles to meet a buddy for lunch, (He rides a BMW, but I won't hold that against him), and then rode another forty miles after lunch. It's the first time in the past three weeks that I haven't had to wear my 3/4 helmet with face-shield. Days like this, there's nothing better than being on a bike...

Sounds like fun Frank! Sounds like the inside of your head is a Pretty Place! Anyway, hoping to do 200-300 miles tomorrow out here. It's 71 today and tomorrow should be the same before next week stars getting cold again!!!

Right now it's about 75 outside. Bunch of our family came down for a Halloween get-together. Lotsa kids, grandkids. Bike's staying in the garage this weekend. But the grandkids make it all worthwhile.

Frank, I wish you would stop using those kind of wordsCerulean blue sky. I have to stop and get my Funk and Wagnel (sp?) every time you post.
I'm registered to go on a Bikers for Kids run tomorrow, the forecast calls for rain all day. Oh well there is always the next one.

Sorry about the odd word... Bummer about the rain in the forecast, too. Hope you get some pretty weather on the way!

Re:Sweet ride, this morning... 2 Months, 1 Week ago
I've been watching the weather up in Arkansas, planning a little road trip up to Little Rock to visit my dad one day next week, then detouring through Shreveport/Bossier City on the way home to take a turn at the craps tables before heading home. Probably run around 700 miles round trip - including a few detours along the road.

Had a VERY nice ride yesterday. The kiddo off to school - the wife off to visit her mom - and me with nothing but time to kill and miles and miles of East Texas backroads. Just about a perfect day for it.

I've been doing a little hard riding the last few days, doing a little extra Sea Foam treatment. The bikes been running a little rough and I think I got a tank of bad gas earlier in the week. If the Sea Foam doesn't do the trick I guess I'll pull the plugs and see how they look. Only about 7500 miles since the last tune-up but who knows . . .

Sweet... Looks like you're headed for gorgeous weather, too.

I've noticed that since the weather has cooled down, my bike is running a tad rough, but once it gets warmed up, she's a happy beast. Good luck with your trip, and of course, ride safe.

Something else I've been noticing: Lately when I ride, instead of an adrenalin rush, I end up in a very contemplative, reflective mood... Anyone else do that?
