we've got amazing weather here in NE Ohio for this time of year. upper50's /lower-mid60's. al gore might be on to something with this global warming. i almost appeared in a movie yesterday,BAMBIE & FRIENDS MEET A ROADSTAR staring ME !!!!. everything ended up OK, no one was hurt, BUT MAN CAN I SLIDE A ROADSTAR!!!!!!. almost went to full lock, very smooth & predictable. just like my 430cr husky use to slide (ONLY ALITTLE HEAVIER) what's good for getting s--- stains out of shorts ?

Yeah... I've gotten pretty good at sliding my Roadie, too. So far, I've done it twice. The dirt bike and BMX stuff I did as a kid seems to have paid off! Glad you're okay.

I'll second that, in fact, I have found myself getting too zoned out on occations.. A nice Sunday afternoon gliding down a country road with no traffic..you can forget where you are if your not careful..

Think I just talked myself into it,,Today is Sunday,,took care of the honeydo's yesterday, so today is mine...

I love the clarity and focus during the ride, and the "life look", reflection, whatever you want to call it that follows. At first I was disappointed when my wife would only ride with me once in a while. Now, I cherish the introspection that comes with country road solace when she stays home. I ride with my neighbor, a pastor, quite often these days. Sometimes you'd think we were John Lennon and Maharishi with the "elevated" conversations we get into on the side of the road.

That's awesome... Years ago, I read, "Zen & The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance." I didn't really understand it, then... I think I'm going to pick it up again.

Took the ball & Chain for a ride yesterday, only did about 100 miles, it was in the low 40's, so we kept it short. Got some nice pic's of the fall colors and the bike, I'll see if I can get them posted somehow.

Yeah, I read "Zen" when I was riding my Trail 90. Thought it was really "mature" reading at the time. I think it was 1977. Yep, I wonder how it would read now.
Cheers, Randy
