I can't get my pictures small enough to post, so I will just tell you that the jacket has a Vietnam Veteran patch on the back. An American Flag patch on the left sleeve. I salute each and every one of you. I was never in country, but proudly volunteered to serve during that time (although it was the tail end: 1973-1977). Got the Gedonk medal to prove it. As a former Squid, there were only a few ways to get there via the Navy: Pilots, Sea Bees, Corpsman, River/Swift Boats, UDT/SEALs et al. And I screwed the pooch on a couple of those options as a boot camper. I have mine from the Navy with patches on it from all of my commands and ships, even thou it no longer fits, I would never part with it. Means way too much, they can put it on my casket when I go, heck maybe then it will fit? Thanks for your service during the worst of times. I was lucky 77-98 and never saw battle. Our AirCraft kicked some Butt, but I never had to pull a trigger. I wanted to after 9-11, but I was already retired. I had the VN patch put on the back. No special place in my heart.
