Done for 2008? 2 Months, 1 Week ago
After 3 feet of snow in May, a wholw summer full of rain (mainly rainy and cold on WEEKENDS especially ) We have had a pretty warm and dry fall 9with the exception of it being cold a snowy and rainy on the WEEKENDS only )
I'll tell ya! Something really screwy going on with these weather patterns where it is +20 degrees on Fridays and Mondays, but barely gets above freezing on Saturday and Sundays. (No wonder everybody plays hookey from going to work on Mondays.... Except me )
Well, I got out on the roadie for a good ride today just long enough to get the whole bike warmed right up to hot temperature (to burn out any moisture in the components) before parking her in storage.
Ya never know in Alberta, we could see afew more days of +20 before Christmas, but I'm not counting on it. So pretty good chance the riding season is over for 2008 here.
(Now I can get back to work on this 2.5 year house project that'll keep the wife off my case! )
....Until next spring....

Apparently not if you live in Alberta.
Just joking but seriously I would not mind some green house warming extend the season until Feb. LOL

All you need for Christmas is a trailer, a set of snow chains to get you south of Kansas, and a beach house on Padre Island, Texas.

I don't know what I would do if I had to put up my scooter for several months of winter. I was asked to consider moving from Texas to Chicago a while back. My boss was stunned when I responded so quick with a "no" before they got the whole offer out. Riding is one of the things that I attribute to keeping my blood pressure in check. I hope you folks up north get to snowmobile or something of that sort that makes up for the down time from the bike.

Down time... we don't have no stinkin down time..lol. We follow the snow plows out when they clear the roads! living in cold weather states can make owning a bike a tough thing to do. I get my fix every couple of weeks when the roads are dry. I dont ride far but I get out and putt around.

Looks like we'll have some riding weather still this week in SE Mass. When the snow flies here, I ski! And when the snow goes, I'm cleaning her up and ready to ride again!!!
