Helmet law here in NJ. I'm somewhat indifferent to the whole thing. I read once that riding without a helmet feels wrong. I tried it up in RI and I didn't mind. If anything it was nice to get on and go instead of strapping on then going.

I don't make a practice of it, given our helmet laws here in Tennessee, but I've ridden without a helmet a few times, and it's pretty nice. I understand why bikers raise hell about being forced to wear one.

Utah, if you are under 18 you are supposed to wear one, passenger and driver. If you are 19 or older then they are not required. I have no real opinion about the law. It is too heated to discuss even in person.
Happy trails,

No helmet law in Florida. When I know am going to exceed 50 mph (like when going to work or on the highway) I will wear a helmet. Around town and the secondary roads, I will not wear one.

I like to be given the choice... choose wisely.

Ohio it's mandatory if you want to decrease the chances of your face looking like a tray of hamburger at your funeral. Or, you want to bypass the funeral all together.

It's an option after 1st year, but I feel naked without it and the less helmet, 1/2, 3/4 the more naked I feel. The whole time I have less than a full face on, they more "I better not wreck drums through my mind.)

I had a near fatal wreck at a fav Dirt track when I was 12, I'd post pics but Halloween is over. It was slow motion, front tire got stuck in down hill rut, I went over the bars and the bike got moving again with my face on the ground, about 100 feet of that. I went into shock and then a coma. Back then, they couldn't do much but wait. I could hear everything going on in my Hospital room, It was terrible, then when I came out of it and come to, All the mirrors were covered, I took a peek and farted. I'm was lucky I had a quack Dr who used some animal medicine on me and Kids heal good. I have only a few scars.

The incident nearly prevented me from being a Marine.

So, this is why I like Full Face.

The whole time I was wrecking, I can clearly remember, I just drank my 1st Dr. Pepper in my life, and "I wish I had my helmet on!" Dr. Pepper is going to be pissed I did not have my helmet on!

It was a fluke I did not have my helmet on. I had always wore one and I had it with me that day.

Very sobering story... I just went for a quick run down to the local gas station to buy cigs. I wore my half-helmet and amber shades. Riding at night is such a trip... Fun, but weird and very different.

A National Motorcycle Magazine just highlighted a story where someone well known in the bike world died in a fatal accident on his own street just going for a test ride. Hate to try to guess since I get so many Magazines. Sure someone here read same story about June 08.

Don't get me wrong, I like to ride no helmet, but I know that can bite you so I don't. (Except for in a 2 MPH parade, and, that can even be a D day.)

Same goes for Clothing, while your wiping out you'll be like I wish I had my armor on! I don't wear that all the time either, but if I ever wreck WO it, I'll be sorry. I wear it a Lot more than I used to with so much cell phone use going on.

I ride most equipped for a mishap the more increased the chances are for having one, such as winter and rain. I know this is stupid though, I should always dress like this. Me, for next 6 months...
