Re:Seats 2 Months ago
It's such a personal choice. I suggest that if you have a Star Touring group in your area attend one of their rides and sit on as many different seats as you can. At least you'll get an idea.

I have 2 Corbins - 1 solo and a 2 up and like both.

No matter what kind you decide on be sure to get a back rest - it's most important (IMHO) for comfort.

Re:Seats 2 Months ago
I'll second both of these comments,
I thought I wanted a Mustang until I sat on a RS with one.
And, I got the Backrest and I can hardly drive without one now! What a difference! I sit into my Ultimate seat, not on it! Love that backrest! Wish I could fit the factory seat up with one for ugly weather as Ultimate is not waterproof, and for good reason. The rain coats for hem can't really put up with my schedule. MC

MS1700....You can make a driver backrest to go with the stock seat. The instructions are here http://roadstarclinic.com/content/view/34/126/

It took a little time to get the steel hot enough to bend using my little plumbers propane tank, but it worked. Instead of using a piece of paper to get an outline of the bend, I used a cut up clotheshanger so I could hold it next to the flat bar while adjusting the bend.

It is a little painful to bolt on with the passenger pillon in place, but it just takes a little patience.

$64 for the pad and $9 for the flatbar.

Re:Seats 2 Months ago
As we know the stock seat sucks so then i bought a mustang with the backrest and didn't like that it pushes you foward and very unconfortable on long rides . Then i bought a corbin the best money i ever spent(loved it) but then i modified my bike with a 240 rear tire and now a 12" wide fender my awsome corbin would no longer fit. So then i bought a Looney DD seat and it fit fine went for a ride and when i got home i took it off and put on ebay . so then i got a good deal on a new corbin solo seat and decided to modify it to fit my wide fender worked good and was easy to due . I now felt ok to modify my original corbin and lovin it again so much i'm getting another in a different color just for looks
