Closest call I had was one time I had one fly between me and my fairing when on my Venture but my bro Crowbar got hit by a bird on I-25 just north of Denver. Several local hunters were in the pub, bemoaning the fact that deer season had come to an end, and that they hadn't bagged one. I grinned and said, "My friend here uses a DART!! My freezer's BURSTING with venison!" (She looked horrified) The hunters all guffawed, but one of them said, "No... I've seen those dart guns advertised in magazines!" I said, "No...
