Since I belong to a Volunteer Fire Company as a First-Aider/EMT in the town I work, I can use the gym at the firehouse 1/2 block from my office. I worked out last year for about 3-4 months on 4 of several machines they have. Started feeling good and then quit.
I guess I have to get back now that Java has made me feel guilty!
Not really...as an EMT we went on call last Thursday and a 67 year old *healthy* man was raking his leaves for the last time... resulting in SCA - sudden cardiac arrest. It kinda wakes you up and helps bring on a little motivation.
I know that exercise alone can't keep SCA away, but it helps the general quality of life greatly, especially hangin' onto my scoot handlebars

I do ok for a while, but it gets so damn boring that I end up quitting..been physical most my life in construction, and it just feels weird spending all that energy for nothin...My wife tells me that it's not for nothin, and I know she's right..I guess I just don't want it bad enough...

last year i got a gym membership not to lose but to gain, I gained 30lbs muscle in about 2 months with a personal trainer, he had me on a 4500 cal a day diet with alot of protein, chicken and lean beef, protein shakes, bars, cottage cheese before bed time, he also had me on nitric oxide and amino acidsas well. And if you want to loose the weight eat small meals through out the day about 8 mini meals that are high in proetin and low in carbs for 2 weeks, that will jump start your metabolism and get it into gear. I did mine for football to be on the D-line I was 270 lbs last year and now I am 300 thanks to my trainer, I dont get to work out as much as I use to but my job keeps me pretty active so Ive only droped 10 lbs but Im a guy thats happy with his size..

Yeah, I switch from Gin and Tonic to Jack Daniels and Diet Coke in the winter. My workout consists of watching my daughter do karate four nights a week, gymnastics one night a week, and hauling her around to tournaments on the weekends.

At the gym I go to, the weight machines are right behind the stair machines. When some good looking 20-30 something starts on one, things aren't nearly as boring...

I started drinking Apple Cider Vinegar does that count?
After seeing the shape I was in last spring when I went back to work I will be doing some type of exercising this winter, that's for sure.
I know I'll continue a lot of walking and if my back will take it some crunches. Other then that I'm not sure what else.

My goal? To be the last man standing! What's that mean? Well, I want to be the last guy who's chest measurement is still larger than his waist measurement!
It ain't easy... and unless I get working on it... I ain't gonna win!

Split wood every fall for our home till I was 18. Probably 5 years straight I'd bust 2 cords(?) a year. Broke many a wood handle , so My Step-father bought a 25 lb. monster maul that was all steel , steel handle welded to a large steel head. Never broke it , and the work out was second to none. BB
( btw , house had no heat but a wood burning stove)
