Glad you're OK. It's a point of gratitude to have an accident like this that makes us more alert...possibly avoiding a bad crash.

Yep, your not the first and won't be the last. Two second rule really works.
I almost went into the back of a car the first few days after getting my bike. Just lost concentration for a second and next thing you know I am locking up the brakes and praying I get stopped.
Yep.... know all about that. Glad your ok.
Now pay attention when you ride

The second day I rode my bike to work, I was going home and had just made a left turn when from a parking lot, a truck backed out, across traffic, turned and ran AGAINST traffic, and shot up a little side-street. I had the brakes crammed, the bike sliding sideways, and my right foot planted on the ground like I was on a dirt-bike. Scared the fire outta' me!

wow, good reflexes to be able to slam on the rear brake and plant your right foot at the same time! You are a man of many talents!

same thing happened to me out in pennsylvania, guy cut me off had to swerve around locked up that rear brake though....took a lotta gauze to cover up that road rash...
im glad your ok mark its scary shiz

everyone that aint in the industry should just drive motorcycles so we dont have to worry about idiots in big trucks not looking!
