This has been fun to read. The guy with the camera no matter how many people he films will never change anything. It just makes him feel better thinking he's doing something to help. He's a legend in his own mind. The Cops are not going to be able to write a ticket based on his film especially if its digital. A cop has to witness the act and even if the cop wrote a ticket based on this film it could be beat in court for numerious reasons and the biggest one would be that digital film can be altered so its not admisable in court. I would just look at the guy and laugh cause it take all kinds!!!!!!!!!!

Oddly, cops use digital video and stills to write tickets all the time. If you don't believe it then just try and get out of a ticket issued by a red light camera. Or try to claim that the officer lied about you being drunk when the dash cam catches you unable to even stand up.

I personally believe that you still need to be able to face your accuser in court and find red light camera tickets unconstitutional, but I will agree that they do tend to stop folks from running red lights. Of course the down side to that is rear end collisions are way up! Go figure!

Wow... Oregon's schools must be empty every Monday while all the little gum chewing nitwit girls with the cell phones strapped to their ears are at the court house paying their fines for having all those beads and other assorted crap hanging from their car's mirror.

If we don't have that law here in Indiana we should!

Actually, state law dictates that anyone under the age of 18 cannot use a cell phone while driving. Not even a "Blue-Tooth"

Not only that, there is no way to tell what the real speed is of the rider based solely on the video..

Well that law is broken a lot in Indiana.

You have to remember this guy is in the UK. their laws may be different. And I'm all for being safe, and encouraging others to be safe as well but when it comes to mothering people and then reporting them, its just not a really safe thing to do. I can just picture this guy riding down the highway and suddenly finding himself in the middle of a pack of HAs who know who he is. Also the camera footage of his helmet-cam becoming a colo-rectal camera would be interesting!

After reading the amount of personal info contained in the article, and the fact that they call him, "Oddball," it appears to me that the reporter doesn't think too highly of his shenanigans, either. I can imagine the interview, and the reporter thinking all the while, What a _____(fill in your own favorite derogatory noun)
