Yup, it's an air show stunt plane. Scares the bejeebers out of the crowd every time!

FAKE
lol
wing comes off clean...no broken controls.. gas tank lines...
The stunt can easily be done with a RC model plane because the power to weight ratio is high...
notice at the end the pic goes blurry....where the real plane video is dubbed in...
A stunt where only ONE video exists..no one else taking pics.. LOL
read the comments on this posting of the video
one wing plane crash

You're right, Pop. And anyway, I just don't see how a clean and level landing could be made without equilateral control surfaces. I'm not saying it's impossible, but ah... It seems highly unlikely.

I've never met Wagstaff but I've seen plenty of her work. I've tried aerobatics but it makes me too sick but then even a tilt-a-whirl makes me sick. The FAA picked me to demonstrate spins on my CFI test and I barely made it through that without throwing up all over the instruments or the examiner.

The command I retired from was Test Pilot School in Pax River MD. We trained pilots to recover from spins in all types of A/C. Those are some really cool videos, but you can't see them or I'd have to kill you!

I was taking Cessna lessons, and typical of any morning that I went out flying, I'd have a hearty breakfast. After going around and doing lazy 8's and turns about a point, my instructor says, "Do you know what a 'Wing-Over' is?" I replied in the negative. He said, "Would you like to see one?" Stupidly, I said, "Sure!" He took the controls and took us up to six-thousand feet, then he nosed it over and pitched us into a dive, then kicked the left rudder and we 'winged over.' At that point, he began bringing 'er out of the dive and brought it back straight and level, around fifteen-hundred feet.
My face must have been green. He asked if I was okay and I said, "Sure! Ah, but we probably should set down, because I'm going to hurl."

The T-34B that I worked with in Pensacola, we trained pilots for "Recruiting Commands". Each command had it's own T34B to take applicants up who wanted to be "Navy Pilots" and would see if they had the hand and eye coordination to fly. Well the instructor in Florida who trained the pilots to fly them would always come back from their first flight with them holding their gloves full of puke Now these were experienced pilots that typically already had years of experience, but not in a acrobatic little plane like the T-34B
Sorry for the Off topic..... now back to your regular scheduled tuning...
