AFTERMARKET SEATS? 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
So...I put new metzler's on the bike and I find they have a lot more height. I'm short so I dialed down the rear shock and still find it tall. I want to get a new seat for comfort reasons but also it may help lower me on the bike.

Which is the best choice in optional seats?

oh man what a question. corbin, mustang and ultimate are the most popular. corbin definitely gets you "in" the bike. they'll all lower you down though.

I put on a PCS seat, and it lowered me about 1.5 inches.

It's not an Ultimate, but it's cheap.

If you like your stocker seat then do the flip and grind on your bike and it will lower it about 2 inchs.

I have the Mustang and am really pleased with it. The Ultimate is nice a little more cushy and the Corbin is a more fit type seat. All will lower you on the scoot some, due to the frame shape as you go lower it will move you forward. Lot's of choices and in my opinion all customs are better than the stock seat. The Mustang makes 500 mile ride easy and the stocker was killing me after 200. Good luck.

Stock is not great, i had a mustang touring with a drivers back rest fair and i does push you forward and butt still got sore in less than 200 miles. Went to a corbin awesome 600 miles in a day, butt was a little sore but 600 miles not bad and does sit you right down in the bike. I have also tried a looney bar hop only but the lowest of all. corbin for me i have 3 of them now different colors

i´m still looking for a slimmer saddle along the lines of a corbin gunfighter, but to no avail.

i don´t want something like a looney, as it´s too low and shifts the riding position too far forward and i´d lose what i gained in legroom with the floorboard extensions.

hey Erizo, what about the hollywood?

http://www.corbin.com/yamaha/rdstarhw.shtml

It is sold also as a yami's aftermarket seat, but with a lower price
It is the one mounted on my wildstar

Re:AFTERMARKET SEATS? 1 Month, 1 Week ago
So I deicided to try something...I removed the original seat cover and useing a electric knife I carved the UNDERSIDE of the foam to suit my butt..Then re-installed the cover, and it lowered me by 1.5 in and I sit in the seat instead of on it...Best part is the seat looks un-touched because of carving the underside..
Cheers
