Would it be nice if it was pretty, yeah, but I'm more worried about the parts that are easily seen than the ones that aren't. A nice day and a great road for me and my bike would have me forgetting about any paint flaws on my engine case. Yea it don't affect how it runs, but when you ride in the winter it sure does affect how easy it is to clean, it's like wiping sandpaper. Mine is a late 07 and I swear I got like what was left over in the parts bin. They grabbed a part and kept saying "That'll do!" I'll just be a PITA next time I buy a bike.
