I will hand it too HD though, they are reaching for the gobal markets. thats what a company has to do to survive. when your market is soft, move into additional markets.

Re:Harley's new XR1200 1 Month ago
A few years ago my friend and I switched motorcycles as we were coming up 446 from Bedford toward Bloomington. It was a really nice day with lots of sunshine and no cars on the road. I took off on his bike and got it up to 70.... then 90... then over 100... my eyes were watering and my sunglasses were vibrating... but finally, I had done something that I had contemplated doing for a long time but didn't feel comfortable doing on my old '87 Honda VT 700... going over 100 mph on a motorcycle. the motorcyle... a Yamaha V Max.

And if there was ever a road to do that on, it's 446 up from Bedford, and south of the lake, with it's expansive side ditches and wide open straight lanes for many miles.

Yea, I know, lot's of motorcycles will do over a 100... my Roadie, and probably that old VT 700, but anyway, I will always think fondly of that V Max for giving me a thrill!

And now I have that out of my system and I have no desire to go that fast again... especially without protective gear and a helmet.

I've had my Roadie up to 100mph. At about 90, I started getting a really kick-ass adrenaline rush and yelled, "YEEEEEHAAAAAWWWW!!!!
