Re:Harley's new XR1200 1 Month ago
Had my old '72 650 Yamaha up to 105 once on Interstate 495 in MA... that's all she'd do. I had 6-bend pullback bars at the time, so I had to sit bolt upright... I was hanging on for dear life!!!

At 19, and stupid, I could do that then!

I'm going to the International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach, CA tomorrow and if they got it there I'll take it for a spin I DO think it's ugly though.

I'm thinking, why not chop a Vmax? Man would that be a train wreck waiting to happen!

I've been on some very fast motorcycles over the years but I once had a tank slapper at about 110 and that'll cure you in a heartbeat if you survive it!

Took the Roadie over a 100 once jsut beacuse and thats it.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a "tank slapper?"

So... Calling women "tank slapper," could be construed as a compliment?

"Hey, you ol' tank slapper!! How 'bout buying me a beer? My tank's runnin' dry!"

Mmm..... Smoooooth... Like a pro!

As we say down there: "Ugly like smoke"
