The welder slang for the holder that holds the welding rod is a "stinger", hence the name. To make it worse, when you get cable internet they give you an email using your first initial and last name.. darnoldi@.... You get the idea. I'm not sure if my folks thought about it when they named me or not, but it didn't start to come into play until the last 5 years or so. My other nickname has always been "Uncle Buck", not that I am as big as John Candy (yet) but I have 29 nieces and nephews with more than 40 great nieces and nephews and now an even dozen great, great-nieces and nephews. I promise Expert Boarder Posts: 515 Re:Story behind your user name? 4 Years, 5 Months ago   I grew up in West Los Angeles , and while growing up , I did a lot of stupid things . . . so long story short , the guys from the hood was always laughing that such a young dude (me) was always "tripping" and always fighting or getting in trouble And they were always telling me "hey Jaime (that is my name) don't trip , jaime stop Tripping , why are you Tripping , etc " So . . . yeap , they call me "Tripper" , I was 14 when I got that name and now I am 33 Back then I was crazier than today hehe (that is where the "loko" comes from) So now you know why . . .
