I've had mine in for about 5 yrs now. It paces and cardioverts.

Pacing isn't a problem...but the cardioversion really sucks and could be a huge problem on the road.

However, I ususally have plenty on time because I feel like crap for several minutes before the damn thing goes off. Whether I'm walking, driving, riding, or sitting watching TV I have had plenty of time to prepare myself.


That's how it is for me...your situation may be diferent.

If the day comes that it happens rapidly, without warning, and I'm on my bike...at least I'll go with the wind in my hair (along with some gravel, dirt, grass, twigs and a fence post up my ass).

Just take all of your brake lines off and come ride the Ozark Mt.s with me.....you won't need no steeenkin pacemaker.
