inspections 2 Years, 11 Months ago  
evening all anyone have info on what is required in new york for motorcycle inspections like need, horn, turn signal, head light, mirrors etc...

Yep all that. Good brakes and tires.
Some places will give you a hard time if you have loud pipes, some won't.
Pretty standard really.

I love that New Mexico doesn't have them! Don't for cars either. Seems pretty weird though considering how green minded people are here in Santa Fe...

Lots of states don't have inspections, but they do have laws... All the things you mentioned are required to make it street legal.......

Which I think is all the NY inspection does, make sure it's street legal.

Truth be told I haven't had my bike inspected sense I bought it in 05 so I'm not real sure.
Only 4 wheel vehicle I have is my work truck and the company I work for takes care of that.

thanks for the replys, i have to be honest just have bare necessitys on bike, head light, mirrors, brake lights, havent bin busted yet, get inspection the old fashion way, like a clean bike,

same here. was inspected when I bought it, I took the little plate off and tossed it in my saddlebag. have no plans on getting it inspected anytime soon. Even had 2 cops admiring my bike and asked how comfy the apes are and one asked if he could sit on it and see how they feel. Neither one said anything at all. and my apes are wayyyy illegal in TX.
