Well the legs are in the mail. They only cost $419 shipped There went my seat for this month. Between this and the IRS my chopper fund is spent... I'm sad.

Today I'm going back out to the garage and I'm going to work on mounting the brake and at get an idea of the spacers I'll need.

Looks like you've got a great start RIP! I'm excited for ya!

I like the springer and the curved single downtube...I'm doing one of those for a friend at work, but it is a sportster. I'm trying to shoehorn a 200mm tire into that thing too! Wish me luck!

I'll post pics of that build if it's OK with the moderators to post non-roadie stuff here. I'm new to the forum, so trying to learn the rules.

Bro' , We've all been there. It'll make it that much sweeter once she's up and rolling. Progress looks good. BB

I can't get the wheel spaced properly! I'm getting so mad with this build I swear I'm gonna roll it off a cliff and buy a Harley!

The wheel is off to one side over 1/2in and no matter what I do I can't get it even. I put in a 1/2in spacer and it's STILL off by a 1/2in! Makes no sense at all! And yes I'm tightening the axle bolt down. It's weird because the bolt head doesn't pull the rocker in, the bolt head just floats through the rocker instead and it's held in place by a set screw. That part is okay but I can't get them even no matter what I do.

Shoot us a pic or two of the problem , so we can view it with you. 25 more sets of eyes (and perhaps opinions...) can't hurt. BB

be patient...walk away and come back to it.

I had quite a time getting my front wheel to set in the right place too. I think I stalked off in frustration 3 or 5 times!

You've got all of the doo-dads you need...right? The caliper mount and all of the spacers?

your probably going to have to cut or buy the correct spacers to get the thing lined up. Your running an HD-style wheel up front...right?

The good news is that you can probably get an assortment of spacers from your friendly neighboorhood bike shop.

But like Bear says...let's see some pictures. We'll help if we can.

Re:My chopper build 3 Years, 2 Months ago

The axle only has 1 3/4in of space with the hub included. The brake bushing 1in at least! Either it's the wrong hub or the wrong bushing. I'm going to call the manufacturer again and make sure. Otherwise I quit.

patience my young friend...

I can't tell much from your photo. Need a couple from each side.

The batteries in my camera are dead. But tomorrow, I'll take some pictures and post them here for you. I've got to take the wheel off so that I can mount a new tire. I'll take photos of the whole thing. It won't be exactly like what you've got, but it might shed some light on the situation.

Sound good?
