If it has been sealed, I would say absolutely.

Something like MMO, unlike, say, gasoline, has a far longer shelf-life, even after having been opened. I use mine until it's gone, taking a good long while to do so. It never changes color, texture, or anything else, as best I can tell. I'd say it ages gracefully!

I had some MMO in my roll cab at the shop and it has been in there for years. I noticed one day that it had changed color over time. It is much darker now than the red color of new oil. Don't know if the oil is effected in any way. Color is usually just that and is typically put in an oil for identification purposes, but not always. FYI

As long as you are comfortable that nothing has gotten into it like dirt or anything I wouldn't worry about it. that's what I meant be sealed. Not that it hadn't been opened. I am sure it is still fine.

Now that's a good question, My uncle was a state geologist before he died and when he changed his dino oil, he would put it on the shelf and let the sediment settle out of it and reuse it forever. I think his truck had the original oil that came in it

Now I don't necessarily agree with that but the point is oil doesn't go bad as far as I know. It does get contaminated and if put under enough heat and stress will loose some of its lubricity.

If its been sealed, you should be good to go, if not strain it through a paint strainer to make sure nothing is in it and use it.
