I think you have a narrow glide springer if so you will need a narrow glide front wheel this is a pic of my old school with a narrow glide front end.or to keep your wheel you need a wide glide front end. or hubs

It's a wide glide hub. The wheel hub can be changed. For instance, I have the hub from this wheel when it was on my R* too. So... How much more narrow is the narrow glide hub vs. the wide glide hub? If this is the case I might be able to send the hub back, but I doubt it...

I emailed you a collection of photos and a narrative to help you sort out your front end. I hope you find it helpful. Don't hestitate to ask questions about any of the steps. This is my way...I'm sure that are hundereds of methods. I found that this one worked for me.

I got the pics and I see the narrative in my in box. I'm headed to bed but I'll check it out tomorrow. Thank you SO much, hopefully I can figure it out. I had an idea and machined a new spacer, we'll see what happens.

I see choppers on the road now and I cringe!

I GOT IT! I GOT THE WHEEL CENTERED! It was tough but I was patient and got it right! I'm going to be ordering the handlebars next. And the first week of Apr. it's getting the seat made.

I've been cleaning up the frame and getting it ready for the seat guy next week or so. I removed all the stock tabs from under the seat and the lock housing too.
The powder coat came off easy with the right tools.

Then the area under the seat was ground out, in preparation for the custom seat pan.

Before:

After:

Currently I'm in the garage (as your reading this) grinding off the stock mounts for the floor boards. I'll be sure to post more pics as I get them.

LEAVE STOCK PAINT ON FRAME .... just rough it up with sandpaper. It's a very good base and better than anything you're going to do ... unless you powder it again.

I wish I had neighbors like you'll, I'm not afraid to cut but don't know how to weld. Performance comes first; paint? we'll figure that out later. I like the springer front end. ALOT. Go ahead and de-horn her then set the seat man free and design a seat to get you a couple of inches lower. Beautiful work!!!!

I'm getting as much powder I can off then I'm gonna sand blast it, use All Metal body filler to smooth out the whole frame then powder coat it again. The seat guy is gonna have a blast! I;'m going with a simple seat, because later I'm going to run a 250 rear, cut the struts off the frame a build new fender, then do a new seat with tooled leather.

Right now my only goal is to get it on the road ASAFP.
