Once I cut the wires, solder and heat shrink them I have made a diagram for the orientation of the wires in the plug, and remove the pins from the connector. I then take the welding wire, spiral it up around the wires a few inches and tightly wrap electrical tape around it to secure the welding wire to the control wires. I then feed from one end and pull at the other until they are through. If you have a solid riser you will have to drill for the wires to exit out of them. Then I drilled and dremeled out a hole in my top tree for the wires to go through instead of draping them over the tree. One more question... what gauge of wire did you use to extend the lengths of the stock wires? And I'm guessing that it's stranded, not solid core, right? Thanks, :-DD. ---Hey...
