I have always used wire feed welding wire to pull them through. Once I cut the wires, solder and heat shrink them I have made a diagram for the orientation of the wires in the plug, and remove the pins from the connector. I then take the welding wire, spiral it up around the wires a few inches and tightly wrap electrical tape around it to secure the welding wire to the control wires. I then feed from one end and pull at the other until they are through. If you have a solid riser you will have to drill for the wires to exit out of them. Then I drilled and dremeled out a hole in my top tree for the wires to go through instead of draping them over the tree. Once they were in the headlight bucket, I then re-connect the wires in the plug and hookem up.

Thanks for all your helpand advice guys. I'm actually kinda looking forward to the wiring project now. One more question... what gauge of wire did you use to extend the lengths of the stock wires? And I'm guessing that it's stranded, not solid core, right?

Thanks,
:-DD.

Don't use a smaller gauge than the original wire, larger is ok but may be harder to pull thru the bars..and stranded is the way to go..I might add, stagger the joints so they're not all in one place...
