I remember when I said if I needed a windshield or a radio I might as well take the car. Uh I got those this year and still can't take the car anywhere. Even the wife was asking me the other day"just because it's raining doesn't mean we can't go to the coast", yes it does my reply. Yes,either a G.W. or a trike some day but not right now. After a little research and a day doing test rides, we decided on a Venture. It was an '07 and the first bike that has a seat that doesn't kill my butt after 30 miles. While the Venture is a suprisingly powerful and smooth ride I do miss my Roadstar. Maybe someday I can have 2 bikes. I decided against the Goldwing after riding my brother inlaws. If I were in the market for a touring bike, I would definately go with the Venture over the Goldwing. That said .... Good deal. I want to try one out. I will be in the market for a touring bike. The venture wasn't for me (plus man, it needs updating) + the venture doesn't hold its value for resale. Torn between a Gold Wing and a Ultra Classic.
