I cut mine off as I was changing the bars/grips out anyways. I've heard it can be done, but unfortunately I believe compressed air was involved.

Mine was glued on pretty good. You can try a long, thin screwdriver to try and pry it loose in small bits, but I'm afraid you'll end up messing up the rubber.

New grips would always look cool....

I have gotten them off before without air but you have to be careful when you try this.
First find a small flathead screwdriver that you can insert at the top of your grip and pry the grip back a little enough to spray some wd-40
or whatever lube youve got.
Try getting the spray as far down the grip as you can.
Let it sit a little while and then try to free the grip.
Other than using air or cuttin it off I don't know any other way.

If the person who put them on used the supplied glue (super glue) then it's going to be tough to remove them without destroying the rubber.

Acetone dissovles super glue .... but it also dissolves rubber so you may be SOL.

Dino's way is probably the best .... using a thin screwdriver... go slowly and use a very thing blade. WD-40 does not work on Super Glue ... it's only good if they used grip glue.

I'm not sure why everyone is having so much trouble...in the past year, I've reglued my left grip at least 4 times, using grip glue every time...in my experience, I'd say you should be able to give it a good hard twist, and the glue will break free enough for you to twist it off.

Grip glue is not a problem but the glue that KuryAkyn supplies with their ISO grips is not grip glue .... unless they have recently changed it.

I replace handlebars for customers once in a while and depending on what glue was used and how much was used it may come off easy or it may require dynamite! Find someone who is the MR T type; they may grab, twist, & pull and take it right off.

Swapping handle bars as we speak, used long thin screw driver and a spray bottle of soapy water. took about 1 min to get it off. I dont glue mine on, just make sure the bar is clean and dry and push the grip on in one fast big push. Never had one slip.
