Me & my lovely bride rode in the rain all the way dow n to the Midwest Meet & Greet and had our Frogg Toggs. They did a fantastic job. You may want to consider a pair of Gators to protect your feet though

Frogg Toggs work well and pack small. I've seen many lightweight backpackers using them so believe me they have to hold up for the use they get from us! I have Marmot Driclime for warmer weather and North Face Gore TEx for really bad and cold weather. Both are pricy, dont even ask about the Gore-Tex as mine is for mountaineering. Works great on the bike though!

Oh, and if you are going to Nova Scotia it WILL rain.

what type of material are the Frog Toggs made of? Will it melt on the pipes? I have heard nothing but great reviews on the product. ODB

Well this may be Blasphemy here, but I just bought a HD rain suite for my wife's birthday, and I like it so much, I also bought one for me a month later

Beside the fact that its seems well made, The Jacket also has the Brightest Florescent Orange I have ever seen. The jacket is lined with fish netting, and trimmed thing lots of florescent white tape. Pants are black bib type with shoulder straps to hold them up, the bibs also have a medium weight cotton outer shell from the knees down to keep them from melting. They also have boot straps to keep them tight so they don't flap around, and help keep you dry.

I paid abt 120 bucks, not cheap by any stretch, but considering all the above, its a lot of value. Most Harley riding appeareal seems well made, its just the sticker shock you get at the register when you check out that makes it hard to swallow, and keeps people from buying more of it

PS, the Harley logo is pretty small, so you wont need to be to embarrassed for those of you that are to proud to admit you own A Harley........

I have a set I bought at Marks Workwear(Canada)House for under $100., 2 piece wind and rain proof. They work great, drove from Lake George Ny o Pembroke in 5 hrs. of rain no leaks.no problems. I also had bought a set of Choko Desiggn rain boots that go over reg boots ,feet were damp and there was some water inside but not soaked. I'm supposed to get a replacement???(3days ago)The name of them is Viking, worth checking out, no probs with heat from pipes wit R*.Was planning on going down there myself,July or Aug.(still in the air tho)

I wear a bandana around my lower face but that is all I add when it starts raining. I feel like I am closer with nature when I am drenched from head to toe. Plus I am too cheap to spend money on something that I will use so spareingly.
