Was at the dealer the other day, and the techs started spouting off about how great yamalube was, how it had recently been listed among the top 5 motorcycle oils (superior to motul) and that amsoil was total crap and would cause major premature part failure (though they could give no specifics) They went on to praise the synthetic blends because they "have the best of both worlds" and seriously knock pure synthetics though again they could give no justification. In short they were pushing their products pretty heavily, but claimed no brand loyalty. Yeah right! I just smiled and said that there is plenty of research that says otherwise.
