UPS charges usually aren't to bad until you get into the oversized/overweight packages. The one's I love are the outfits that want to charge you $10-15 to ship a part that will fit in a regular old envelope.

Amen to that!!! I've bought quite a bit of stuff off of Ebay over the years and it never ceases to amaze and piss me off when I pay $4, $5 or $6 for shipping and the item shows up in the mail with a $1.50 postage label stuck on it!!! The most outragous was when I paid $4 postage for a small Road Star patch and it showed up in the mail, in a regular size envelope, with a .42 stamp on it!!! Talk about pissed!! Needless to say, the feedback I left reflected how I felt about it too....

And it's not just Ebay. Recently I bought a couple of DVDs from an online website and the postage was $8. They showed up in the mail, in the same envelope, with about $2 worth of postage on it. That's just not right. I don't have anything against someone making a profit, but don't pad your shipping costs in order to do it though.

And that's my rant for the day.........

As for the initial question; Depending on what a case of oil weighs, $10 doesn't sound unrealistically cheap. It just sounds like you're getting a pretty good deal. Also, depending on the volume of shipping the seller does, he/she may get a discount on shipping and is nice enough to pass on the savings to the customers.
