Drago, What is your keyboard? I need something cool like that with more than a couple feet range like my MS wireless desktop... I used an Asus M3N78-VM with an AMD Phenom II X3 710, 8G OCZ Fatal1ty, and an LG BluRay drive. You're right on about the skipping, I have it too, a stand alone GPU is in my future not sure what yet. I need to figure out how to get it to my projector, when I wired the room I only ran component cables, hadn't heard of HDMI yet, and figured with two sets I should be good to go... and of course no conduit

Did you have any issues getting your optical SPDIF to work? I though I was SOL until I got the new HD Audio Deck for Win7, couldn't make it work before or with XP...

Got any ideas on a "smartcard" to work with TWC?

Tim

My optical works fine - I have a rather old mixer, but it picks up the SPDIF as soon as I turn her on. I know what you mean about the HDMI too, I ran CAT-6 to all the rooms in my house, and if I had only run HDMI too, then I could have a remote station in any room with a monitor and Key-mote.

The key-mote I use it the ADESSO WKB-3000UB, and I can control my HTPC from anywhere in the livingroom (couch is about 12 feet away) and can go longer if you retain LOS (line-of-sight).

Good luck man!

What could I use if my computer was 20' away in another room? ...... No line of sight.

I had a keyboard that I could operate from downstairs... came as part of a logitech keyboard and mouse combo... I'll see if I can find the model - it was like 6 years ago though.

I had a $10 Kennsington set from Staples that worked like that. Wish I'd have bought a couple extras now, not sexy but great range.
