Very unfortunate to see any American Company close it's doors, hopefully Harley can or will find employment for all Buell employees. Sad News indeed.

Any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: I SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES NAVY. John F. Kennedy Aug. 1963

Very sad to see another American company bite the dust. Sadder yet for the people that will obviously be jobless.

Absolutely inevitable. Harley Davidson Motor Company was way to focused on "brand identity" issues from the first moment Buell was taken in.
They did not want to give Eric Buell the freedom to develop the engine he wanted, so it all just sort of wallowed around and burned capitol.
At least Good 'Ol Boy Danny Eslick got them a national title (regardless of how many ways DMG had to warp their own rule book) to put in the Museum, in the Buell Room.
Say, didn't The Motor Company just buy MV Augusta?
Dang. I'll never understand big money, cuz I will never have it!
