Windshield Lowers 6 Years, 3 Months ago
Just wondering if anyone has found some windshield lowers that will work with the Yami big bar. According to Yami, their lowers aren't compatible with the big bars. I would like to find some that will help decrease the buffeting around my head at highway speeds. Anyone found something that works?

Bucks make some that work. I'm going to get a set. You can find Bucks site in the COOL LINKS under Specialty - Custom.

I have also been thinking of getting the buck lowers and the oil filter cover. Anyone else have them? Do they work well?

Bucks lowers will "touch", albeit slightly, the Yamaha Big Bars at full left and right lock. I think he's working on a solution, but I'm not sure.

I just purchased and installed a set of Bucks Lowers. Although I don't have crash bars on my bike I personally think that the purchase of these lowers is some of the best money I ever spent. Before I had them the air that came over the gas tank was brutal. Now I don't even notice the wind. I give Buck an A+.

Re:Windshield Lowers 6 Years, 1 Month ago
I put Bucks lowers on 6 months ago and have found them to be a great addition. They are quality and reduce the buffeting a great deal. I also added the oil filter cover/cooler and while I do not know how much it cools the oil it does protect the filter out there in front and behind the tire. That configuration made me nervous.

Buck is great to deal with and really stands behind his products. You cannot go wrong with his lowers. I only have engine gaurds so cannot comment on clearance with a big bar, but the lowers are flexible enough to contact the bars without damage.

Buck is working on, or might have them by now, lowers made specifically for the the Big Bar. The regular lowers work fine and only touch a little at full lock.

I have the Wind Whippers on my bike. They do not hit the Big Bar.

I had Bucks in that past and everytime I turned hard to move in the garage they hit to Big Bar. So, I sold them.
