Which way did you end going in the back for lowering it? Flip and grind or dogbones?

I cheaped out and did the flip. I did the other bike that way and didn't have a problem (even 2 up). I know some are having bottoming issues, if thats the case here I'll just swap the spring.

Well it has been one short month and the bike has reached the end of the initial phase of its transformation. I say initial because we all know our bikes are never done, but this is as far as I wanted to take it for my current budget. Thanks to everyone for their input and advice!!!!

I also want to thank JReed for allowing me to get this bike at such great deal. I was at a point where I wasn't sure if a bike was going to be within my budget (damn Dave Ramsey) and because of the deal he gave me I am still on 2 wheels. Thanks man!!!!!

Thanks, not sure if I am going to polish them or find a set of chrome ones. The uppers are chrome so I would like it to match. I do want to lower the front and will do it at the same time either way I go. Hopefully by the end of winter I will get that done and I have been talking to a local guy about powder coating the spokes on the wheels black.

Your very welcome shamrock. The bike looks awesome.

It was a win, win situation you stayed within your limit and the extra cash helped my nephew out. With 2 small children and being laid off work he was in a bind.

God Bless and Merry Christmas.

Very nicely done Mr. Shamrock. I've enjoyed watching this project of yours come along. I really like that color, it goes well w/ the diamond plate accents, which really stand out. That may be what I end up shootin mine w/ Smoke Grey metallic right?

ya know
I got to thinking

it would be awsome if we could all donate just a couple of dollars
( $5) ...or some parts....ideas etc
to build a RSC bike
then sell it on line and give the money to a childrens charity

just an idea
