I know a few HD guys that are like that.Whenever someone see's my bike they assume it's a harley and are taken back when I tell them it's a Roadstar. Who care's what you ride as long as you enjoy it. Ken

Probably 95% of the guys I ride with that ride HD's have good attitudes, they just love to ride. We pick at each other about our bikes, but all in fun. I give as good as I get.

The other 5% that have a bad attitude about other bikes, I am a real biker mentality, I love to leave them in my dust when I get a chance and smile, except those wings they will move, But these guys are slowly fading out. The economy has caused most of them to sell because they can't afford them, that is sad because I hate to see anyone have to sell thier bike.

Not saying I will never own a HD, but they will have to be more economical before I do. To me the bike doesn't make you a biker the person does. People are more important than the bike they ride,IMHO.

We all be from the human race, well I do question some..

I am thankful to be able to ride and enjoy God's wonderful creation and share my experiences with others that love to ride.

Oddly enough I haven't been bashed for the bike I ride about all I ever hear is compliments. I was even complemented by the pres of one of the 1%er clubs. Maybe I just can't hear the negative things said about me or my bike. My brother gave me a little ribbing before because he has an HD until he actually road mine.

Thanks for last night everybody. I dont hate harley people , although it always seems they like to congregate in their own little circles whenever theres alot of bikes around. But I digress . It was good to hear from yall .

The best way to diss h/d riders (imo) is to really enjoy the confused look on their faces after you spank them on the street with your R/S!!

Same here. He rode my bike on a trip with a buddy and came back saying it was the smoothest bike he'd ever ridden. Simple response for me is, "Your money, your choice, My MONEY, My choice!"

The people that are insulting the Roadstar rider for there choice of bike are the same people that made rude comments about my first brand new truck, a 1987 Toyota 4x4. "You should have got a real truck like a Ford or Chevy" were the comments.
It goes to show that the only thing you can change is your underwear, not others thought process.

I don't ride a HD because I can not afford one at this point. Riding a friends 99 R* for a weekend I went in search for one and found one last May, a 99 Silverado w/11,000 miles for 5K and it was un-touched. I don't care what others think of the R* as they probably never rode one. The only thing that buggs me is that the whole world seems to revolve around the HD. Not a bad thing for HD owners but not great for the rest of us out here (Metrics). Like Magazines, 99% HD 1% Metrics, Aftermarket manufacturers mainly HD driven and very little offerings for the rest of us (unless you have a Wing), Swap meets and shows again mainly HD based. I am new to the big bike Metric cruiser world (1 year in May)and come to realize that we are the minority so we have to adapt and overcome. Wouldn't have it any other way I would like to have a Harley or Indian someday but only a vintage one.

Speaking of Indians Have any of you seen the movie "The Worlds Fastest Indian"? If not it is the best motorcycle movie you will ever see. True Story on the life of Burt Munro and his dream to set a land speed record at the Bonnivile Salt Flats. He was riddiculed and made fun of because of his bike choice but he didn't care because it was his passion so he just kept his head held high and was a very nice person to everyone he met and in the end everyone loved him. He had to hand make everything himself to modify his bike. Excellent story that every biker should see. My Hero

There are "Those Types" of riders everwhere. It doesn't matter what bike, it's just HD riders attitudes seem to stand out in the crowd more than others. Last year I attended the Star BQ in Reno and ran across a few RS riders that had the attitude of HD wanna-be's. I know quite a few HD riders and actually have one in our local chapter of Star. Of course we tease one another, but it's all in fun. When it comes down to it, mile for mile, the RS is cheaper to ride without sacraficing the joy of riding. As it's been said before, it doesn't matter what you ride, just ride! But PLEASE!, Leave the attitude at home. You'll have a much better ride that way!
