Well, My wife and i were at the Milwaukee rally last fall and i was surprised how many HD owners loved my ride. One Heritage rider asked to trade bikes for a few miles and i agreed. Well the rest is history as he went and bought a used 2007 Road Star. Convert them one at a time. He said my 1600 had more get up a go than his screaming Eagle.

I look at it this way, as in life , there's real people/ riders & there's posers. Which side of the road are you on? Don't waste your time worrying about the other side ( That really pisses them off )

I think I live in a gang town. But I'm not going to go into it. The local Bike shops sell T shirts that say something like, Youngstown, Ohio, Murder capital of the world, 2005, 2007 and runners up 2009. And if you follow our news, it's true. WKBN. com They just randomly kill people, you might ride through town on no Jap bike day, and it don't matter how big a boy ya are.

I still hold true that if they are so worried about buy American why they don't all turn em in and get on a true American made bike. Victory.

You know, I been riding all my life on every bike you can think of. Only had 1 problem and that was in Milwaukee. Seems this Big nasty HD rider wanted to show me how to do a burn out directly in front of my parked bike. Needless to say there were chunks of rubber flying and all i did cheer and clap. Well that must have upset him because he just gave a dirty look and took off. I suppose to buy another tire

[quote]I know exactly how you feel. It's not the bikes I have a problem with it's the jack-butts that ride 'em!

I was at a wine dinner tonight and the topic of bikes came up. When I told the guy I rode a bike he asked what kind of Harley I rode. When I told him I had a Road Star he said: "I thought you told me you rode a motorcycle, but only a H-D is a real motorcycle." I let it slide by keeping my mouth shut but visualizing him spitting out a few teeth.

10 min. later he left to go smoke, but upon returning to the private dining room the manager of the place was in tow and (no joke here) he was escorted from the restaurant(The Oceanaire) by the manager for some other infraction.

I love Karma...

It is sad but true...I still really like to ride street bikes - my favorite being a Suzuki Hayabusa. I sold mine a couple years ago for financial reasons. It seems the stereotypical "crotch rocket" rider is a young carefree dangerous rider who sees nothing wrong with riding on one wheel down a busy road. I, on the other hand, just really like the handling and the power. Nothing quite like going down a twisty mountain rode on one. Every time I take one in I still will take them on a twisty test ride just to make sure they are safe. By the way if anyone is ever in the area visit Ceasar's Head - it is a fantastic ride!

Wow, I bet he has a hard time finding a place to use it huh? I have ridden one with a turbo and it is just insane! The funny thing is the one that had the turbo belonged to a 67 year old man...he had a 212 MPH slip from the salt flats.
