Question about Apes??? 2 Years, 3 Months ago  
Hello fellow Roadies,

If I get a set of 10" Apes, will I have to change any cables if I use stock risers? Also, will any 10" apes work, or do they have to be a certain brand. I am looking at some chrome works. thanks

Any brand of bars will work. Some of the bars may have the knurl for where the risers go in a different location, but the bars will still physically fit. Your stock cables will work, but you may have to reroute them to gain some slack. I don't know about the brake line, but my gut feeling is that it will need to be changed.

Where would be a good place to get new lines if needed? And what length would I need?

Yes.

Just tell him what you are looking for and he will let you know if he can get it. He usually is quite good about giving the members of this forum a good deal on their stuff.
