MOFO INSURANCE RATES 3 Years, 3 Months ago
I just got my 2010 - 2011 new policy from PROGRESSIVE. I dropped my auto insurance with them and went to another company which does not cover motorcycle insurance rates. Hold onto your seats boys, my new rate for a 2005 Roadstar is $1764.00--why, because I was previously getting a $1200 discount for having 2 policies with them and now I only have the motorcycle policy.

There's no way in the world that I'm paying that type of money for a motorcycle. The biggest discount that they offered me is if I dropped to teh state insurance level and dropped collision but that's way to risky.

I'm beyond pissed and don't know what to do but it's time to hit the internet and do some shopping.

I switched from progressive to DairyLand Cycle. Progressive was $477 per year collision and comprehensive, Dairyland cycle $235.70. Home owner discount and Riding Club discounts. This is on my Venture a road* should be cheaper.

Holy crap! I have Progressive, bike only, collision, medical, comprehensive, uninsured motorist...I was paying $680 a year in NM, then when I moved to Washington, my premium dropped to $248 a year! I had NO idea New Mexico was so dangerous...

I have the house, my truck and the bike and the bike is $800 a years and the truck is over $1200-1300 a year. Insurance is a racket and a rip off to be sure. I'm trying to figure out who to go with and it won't be State Farm.

Re:MOFO INSURANCE RATES 3 Years, 3 Months ago
A year ago I spent 3 months checking as many different companies as possible. The first thing that I found out is insurance makes no sense. There is no rhyme or reason to them. The same exact coverage and the prices were all over the place.
I ended up with Geico. Full coverage on 3 bikes... an '07 Venture, '06 Roadie and '03 VStar 650 for $755 yearly. The next closest had the Venture ONLY at more than that.

Im 22 on what was an almost new RS, and AAA has my motorcycle for about $30/month. I switched my car over too because it was cheaper than where I was. Everyone else was quoting me 120-$140/month JUST for the bike

i bet you guys who have been riding forever would get an even better price
