Handi-cap Scooter...? 2 Years, 3 Months ago
So, I'm at the store and cruising through the parking lot in the rain...
And, as I'm passing the handi-cap section of the parking lot, I spot the most peculiar site...
Out of the corner of my eye, I see...
This!

Yep, that's a Scooter with a handi-cap tag hanging off the rear view mirror...

Maybe, I'm just in a silly mood, but this is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time...
I'm still chuckling about it...
OK, so, maybe you had to be there...

Lord, that is funny!! Looks like something I would see in Kentucky. I believe half the population has a handicap tag.

I know it might seem odd to some. But handicap people like to concentrate on their ability rather than disability. Obviously anyone who can get a doctor to certify reason enough to get the parking permit and still ride is doing so. A lot of times a close spot is to prevent further damage or wear on a bad joint, like a hip or knee, they can walk fine, just need to keep the wear and tear down, Or a heart problem where they become winded on a longer walk, still not going to prevent a ride.

Ya hope we don't get to that point, ride long enough, you will.

More power to the person who hangs on to the ride.

Re:Handi-cap Scooter...? 2 Years, 3 Months ago
this is one of my pet peeves. SUPPOSEDLY you are handicapped enough that you have to park right up close to the building so you don't have to exert yourself too much or you have trouble walking. So why do I see motorcycle handicap plates? How the "F" can that be? Lets see any exertion involved...like pushing your bike backwards out of the space at 1,000# (700 pounds plus your probably fat ass)? Or holding it up at a stoplight? It is such BS!

I absoluetly see a need for the handicap stickers/plates but here in Napa it looks like they only issue them to people so damn fat they can't walk. Its absurd...stay home and exercise!

Maybe they can;t take-hikes, You know when your bones go bad after w a wreck, maybe tendon damage or what not will rob the ability to exercise or take long walks, or hikes. But at the same time, a one time push out of a spot is ok.

When you have a paper cut on your right hand, by nature you can still peal an orange, it's just that your not going to do it with your right hand, but more your left. No one will be the wiser who sees you peeling the orange that you have a paper cut. As it was explained to me by a Orthopedic surgeon, If you have a problem with your knee and we fix it with a new one, your body is going to do things to make up for that knee and in time we expect you to have problems with your hip on same leg.

Instead of it irritating you that they have a handicap permit, just be thankful you don't.

What burns me, is people who park in their spots with no permit. It's those people who I like to harass and shame the sheet out of.
