OK, big question, how do you take them off the bike?

OK, that doesn't sound like fun, is there a quick disconnect?

Yes Don
You quickly raise the front end up, quickly remove the front wheel & caliper and hang the caliper to the side, quickly remove your handle bars and lay them on the tank with a blanket or towel covering your tank, then quickly loosen the center bolt and then quickly loosen the pinch bolts and remove the fork legs quickly remove the upper tree cover, then quickly remove the upper bearing and seperate your trees and then you can unbolt the tins. I may have left out a couple of steps but you get the picture

So the brushed look isn't so bad then

I know the step you missed Danny, the one where I stop, quickly grab a beer, and realize, it looks good just the way it is..

Just do this!!! Really not too difficult. Just wheel, fender & forks. Change the fork oil while your at it. Mine had only 7k and the oil was fairly nasty.

My tins are fine but it may be worth the extra time (and beer) to change the fork oil and head bearings seeing as how winter is gonna last another 4 months here.

Hey Don
I'm getting ready to remove the entire front end and replace it with a different one. Take a trip to the warm weather here and you can see how easy it really is! I'll buy the beer

Not really that hard to take off, go slow though.

Once you take them off leave them off...more weight!

I shipped mine to Cougar and he was going to polish them and I never found out if he got it done and put on.
