Stupid question, but have always wondered....It says in the description it is designed to work with the Mikuni HSR carbs. But will it also work with the stock carb? I already have the Speedstar setup and would like to use this backplate, but want to make sure it would bolt right up.

Im 99% sure it will not work with the stock carb. There is something I dont remember haha awhile back about this. Im sure someone else will chime in with facts

Anyone else have info whether this would fit with stoock carb.

I looked it up in the yamaha accessories book and there is NO indication that it will work on a stock carb. It specifically says HSR carb. So I would say it will not work.
