I was told you can alter the rpm at which it engages by the ball bearing weight and shims. What I don't get it has been around longer than 2006 at EFM? If you want I could check about a group rate. Speak up if you would be interested.

So let me understand .... you don't need the clutch when taking off but need to when shifting up or down at speed?

Doesn't hurt to ask what kind of volume discounts they offer.

Is Super Auto clutch the same thing as EFM?

To shift you can old school clutch lever or blip to up shift and let off to down shift. No Super is not the same guy or shop. The reason I posted the video was to show the components which are very similar. EFM is in OHIO been making them around 10 to 15 years. Technically you don't need the lever but he recommends keeping it.

Been looking for review of auto-clutches and found these comments form MX guys:

There is more braking required with the auto-clutch because when the engine idle drops to idle, the clutch does engage

I'd like to have a clutch when I'm warming up the bike sitting on the starting line while still leaving it in gear.

Only downside I've noticed so far is that it is difficult to tell if the bike is in neutral so if it is in gear when you start it then blip the throttle the bike can take off unexpectedly.

The only reason I am leaving the lever on is so I can rev the motor in gear without taking off unexpectedly - no real need to use the clutch lever while riding. To shift you just let off the gas for a second as you click the next gear.

At idle there is basically no resistance at the lever but it gets progressively harder to pull with engine RPM (you are fighting the centrifugal force of the EFM pressure plate).

This shouldn't be a problem with our bikes if you leave the neutral switch hooked up.

Yes, very good point Dave.

You would either need to pull the lever in or make sure it's in neutral (which I always do).

Makcap and I went to the factory, it's a great set up. I would get into the habbit of pulling the clutch in to rev it up. (I know we have a N light) I want one for safety reasons, if you ever snap a clutch cable, your still going to be good to go! And MPG wise, it's a full lock. Mine slips at any speed now.
