Inubus,
I have a Corbin seat that I do not use. If you would like to try it out, pay shipping and I will send it to you. If you like it, keep it for $200.00... if not send it back. Let me know.

Stan

I have the Mustang seat, rider backrest, pillion and pad the whole shoot'n match. I love it. Good quality, 600 mile day no problem, could do more, just have not. My passengers are very comfortable too!!! I have tried out the Ultimate seat briefly and it was softer, and leather. Corbin seats look good, but I have never sat on one. See if you can find some around to sit on and try it out.

Like it's been said, many good seats to choose from. It would be ideal if you can find some to sit on first for a 100 mile trip or so. For me, Ultimate's been the one for me and my better half.

Never had a Mustang, but have had two Corbins and did not like either of them. It's said they have to break in, but mine were just as hard as new even after a couple of years of use. BOL

I agree...every corbin I have had has been like sitting on a brick. Never seemed to be able to break them in. They look good and that is the only reason I think people buy them. I have a saddleman seat with the gel insert and it is more comfortable than any corbin I have had. Of course there are alot more larger seats that are more comfortable than what I have now, but I think it is a nice compromise between style and comfort. I would still put the stock seat back on with a backrest for the long rides though.

Has anybody tried out the Russell Day-Long seats? They look very comfortable and appear to be a semi-custom type of build. Bit more expensive than the Mustang or Corbin or Ultimate, but they look OK?

I had my stocker seat rebuilt locally and it's just OK; on a 1-10 scale I'll give it a 6.5. I have ridden 600 miles in one day and I was sore for about an hour after that, then fine. I also built my own removable backrest and that's made a huge difference. How do you guys rate your seats on a 1-10 scale?

I've had both, to me the Mustang wins hands down. Last summer I did almost 1000 miles in one day, and I had not any problem. Corbin are too firm for my tastes, and seems to break in just a little with the passing of miles. I think the Mustang are made better too, looking at the overall quality.
