Are there any other IronButt members on here? I went on a Saddlesore run from Tupelo, MS to Fat Daddy's Burger House in Garland, TX (near Dallas) for lunch & back (1136 miles) in 19 1/2 hours a couple of years ago on my Kawasaki Concours ZG1000. Thanks to the 7.5 gallon fuel tank, I only had to make 3 fuel stops on the road (man, I miss that kind of range!) I'd like to try to find the time to make a similar trip on my Road Star (albeit with more fuel stops!).

Yeah, me and a buddy did the Saddle Sore back in 08 and I was on my 03 Roadstar that I had. We rode to Deming New Mexico and back, about 1100 miles. Back when my shoulders didnt hurt..Would like to do it again someday..

I'm not yet, but I am thinking of planning a trip this summer 500 miles out and back, if I go super slab Wisconsin across to Minn... Dakota's and back, I think I can do it, just have to plan my stops, and carry extra gas, maybe an AUX tank?

MS1700 has done several Iron butts, He's even done them in the cold nasty weather. And I know there are a bunch more on here who have done it. I asked that question about a year and a half ago. Do a search on it.
