Aerodynamically, the front fender flare (scientifically referred to as a "forward-facing dorsal protrusion" ) is carefully designed to produce positive turbulance to keep the front-end of a motorcycle (or "internal-combustion-powered, bi-wheeled transportation device) stable during speeds in excess of 267 miles-per-hour. Or maybe it's just on backwards & just looks stupid. You be the judge!

dvblair: Has anyone cut off the heel portion of the shifter? I never use it and would like to have the extra room. I would like to remove it but it looks like you would need a spacer on the shaft and I'm not sure ...
